I have reorganized the site a bit. I think it will be a lot easier to find stuff now. Also, the Geeks have their own area, as well as a new Time Wasters area. Check it out and see what ya think.
Musician's Registry Posted by White, Shannon on April 24, 2009 at 3:15 PM
Coming soon: The Musician's Registry.
You will be able to enter yourself into the registry, along with your skills, talents, available times, etc, so that others can search for musicians to fill in, join your band, or hire for parties or studio work.
Or, you can search the registry yourself to find the musician you need for your project.
Totally free, of course.
Keep an eye out, it will be here soon...
Help Out the Fight against MS Posted by White, Shannon on March 11, 2009 at 3:40 PM
Multiple Scloerosis is an autoimune disease that attacks the nervous system. Currently there is no cure.
A good friend of ours, Jason Collins, is a victim of this terrible disease. He is active in promoting the cause and raising money to find a cure. I had the privilege of playing at a charity event with him at Crickets last Friday, and it was a blast. His voice is stronger than ever, even if his body is not.
He has written a song called 24 Hour Alamo, which we are happy to play here. Its a very good song, I really like it. It was recorded with J. Fletcher and R Webster, I believe.
Please check out his web site, http://www.smashms.com, and give all you can, any chance you get, to help find a cure. And listen for his song.
New feature in place Posted by White, Shannon on January 30, 2009 at 2:47 PM
I have added the ability to have an intro and outro announcement for each scheduled time slot. This is still in testing, and the intros/outros still have to be created, but they will soon be there. This will allow listeners to know that they have left one time slot and entered another. That way you'll know why it suddenly jumped from hard rock to classical music.
TSTC Accounts Now Work Posted by White, Shannon on January 30, 2009 at 2:43 PM
Now it is even easier for TSTC employees and students to come in and visit!
You can now login with your TSTC login name and password. This should work for any TSTC employee or student from any campus. Use the same user name and password that you use to login to WebAdvisor or my.tstc.edu.
Retrieving or changing your password will NOT work if you use your TSTC account.
You can still request a new account that only works here, using the signup link next to the login link. Retrieving or changing your password will work for requested accounts.
Please contact me if you have any problems with this.

Looking for a career in music? Posted by White, Shannon on January 15, 2009 at 4:08 PM
If you are, I highly recommend the music department at McLennan Community College (MCC), our friends across town. I went there myself a few years back (no comment on how many) and it was a wonderful experience for me. They have programs in a wide variety of music fields. Here's the web site http://www.mclennan.edu
